  • October 18, 2011 Meeting

Tuesday night, October 18, 7:30 PM

    Location: My place.
    13422 - 80th Ave S
    Seattle, WA 98178
    425-226-2783

    Meeting Starts: 7:30 p.m.

Come as early as 6:00 to wander through the garage to see whatever's the latest I'm working on or to look through the parts from the "box of shame." There are some new additions.

As for food, I'm afraid it will be a let down after the last meeting. Back to Oreo's, crackers, pop and coffee, I'm afraid!

The more I know about Minis, the more I know I don't know about Minis.

Perhaps a technical topic for discussion could be a method of immobilizing a car to prevent what happened to my car in Portland.

Yes, it was returned, but not before I went through some changes! Alan Smith was at the track and asked a friend to go back to the hotel to try to
start his car and bring it back to the track. So the guy goes to the motel, sees a blue mini, unlocks it, uses Alan's ignition key to start it and drove off. I got the car back about an hour later after getting a frantic phone call from Alan telling me that the car had not been stolen and that a huge mistake had been made. All's well that ends well.

I didn't get a look at the sign in sheet to know what the official count was at the meeting, but Dorothea counted 32 people. Good turn out!

The down side? The Oreos (and almost everything else) were gone before I got to them!

Just wanted to be the first to thank you, "Chuck & Dorothea" for having us to your house for the meeting this week. You always have the best Oreo's...
