So after a long rebuild i got the car to start today. It still needs tuned but when i run it the #2 and 3 piston does not fire. i just want to see if i am missing something here or if there is something to look at.
i have checked the connections and when i pull off the wire from the spark plug 2 or 3 it dosent change, but when i pull off the 1 or 4 the engine changes.
its a 1275, it has brand new, spark plugs, wires, distributor,

Are the plugs not firing at all or are they firing at the wrong time? Start by making sure that the ignition leads are connected in the correct order: 1, 3, 4, 2, counterclockwise. It sounds like you have 2 and 3 switched.
The more I know about Minis, the more I know I don't know about Minis.
