  • Replacement Seats

The seats I had in the 60's Minis were narrow enough that they would slide by the rear storage buckets when you installed the extension brackets. I just bought a 1989 Mini with Korig seats and the seatback adjusting knob is too big to pass by the storage bucket. I have been unable to find a old original equipment seat. Does anyone know of an aftermarket seat that will slide back far enough to get reasonable leg room? Thanks.

I don't know much about aftermarket seats. Is it possible to swap the driver's and passenger's seat so the knobs are toward the tunnel?

Why not remove the outboard knob, fill the hole with an appropriately sized button head screw that won't interfere and use the inboard knob for seatback adjustment?
