Several years ago MK I rear lights were available in LED. They didn't seem to stay around long, and I don't remember them being anything special...except expensive for what you got.
A quick search of Mini Mania's and Seven's web sites didn't turn them up as still available.
Some patient Internet searching may turn them up elsewhere.
The more I know about Minis, the more I know I don't know about Minis.
Moss Motors sells the LED bulbs. If you use them for your turn signals, you'll have to add ballasts to those circuits. Check out the Moss video for an explanation.

Also worth remembering: LEDs will only work on a negative ground system. If you are running a positive ground car either convert to negative ground or forget about those LEDs!
Thanks for all the replies. I did find a solution (sort of) I bought a pair of led
Red License plate bolt replacements and wired them into my brake lights.
They work fine and give a little extra illumination on braking.
Got them (rather unbelievably) on EBay from So Cal Speed Shop. Who Knew.
