  • car drifts ro right

during driving getting of the steering wheel, the car drifts to the left
    what could it be?
    I checked tire pressure
    moved tire to other side
checked free play of tires( not binging up through brakes perhaps)
Do I need an alignment at Group 2?

I'd get all 4 corners checked. The problem could be in the rear. Be sure to get a printout of the findings. There probably are other good alignment shops but we know Group 2 is good. Probably should switch the tires you back to where they were to begin with. Radials don't like to have their rotation reversed.

I've never heard of radial tires having a problem being switched from side-to-side. Directional tires cannot be changed side-to-side and they are easily identified by the direction of rotation arrow on the side wall.

I'm guessing Ed means to check the alignment specs at each corner.

If the tires and alignment are ruled out, could it be from a slight brake drag? I'm trying to think what else would cause that?

I was just thinking that the wheel alignment at the rear needs to be checked as well as the front. Not as likely as the front being out of alignment but it's a possibility.

                drag to the right

I checked the freeplay of the wheels not binding up through the brakes
both wheels spinning about the same OK.
not much difference feeling by cornering left or right.
during driving letting the steering go and braking not much difference still pulling to the right.
So I made a appointment for possible alignment at Group 2
                Thks for input
