  • Arrrg! another step forward...

    Two steps back

so i fit a Quick shift gear changer , Rod style, the original was smooth just "wide", the new one is "tighter" travel wise (good) but super clunky feeling and sounding. grease yes.. compared the old mech lower ball to new one, seems same..
    anyone "been here"?

One of my favorite topics, but I can't be of much help to make the Slow shift work better. No such thing as a Quick shift. Short shift, yes. But no Quick shifts.
The more I know about Minis, the more I know I don't know about Minis.

I would fix it, by taking out that gimicky after market piece ## ####. and put the original shifter back in it and be happy. but thats just what I would do. (getting down off my box now )

Part number 22G2792E at Seven Enterprises, is the shift extension eye into which the shift lever ball fits. That's probably where your wear is. The slot in the shift lever could also be worn.
