  • Chips or upgrades?

Bill Busacca sent me this message. I thought I'd just pass it on here. Dan

Samoa members, I have a mechanical/electrical/question. I have essentially a street rod mini. A ‘65 by registration with ’98 Japanese MK III components. I have a 1380 from 7 Mini and it runs great, but I know of no chips or upgrades for the SPI intake system and electrics. Does anyone know of a tuner or aftermarket company that makes upgraded ECM’s for 1275/1380 SPI motors? It’s worth more than just a few beers at a spring road trip (after you get back) for the information. Let me know of any sources you have. Thanks for all your help.

Not sure if you got my email reply, but there is Megasquirt and Megajolt. They are used on the turbo and supercharged mini's. I don't know much about them but they are programmable with different maps. You can find more info on the turbo mini forum.
