  • I've got this rash....

    Yep, some curb rash and rust on some Cooper S wheels. I wanted to clean up the rims before sandblasting and powdercoating. What better way than to belt up the speed reducer on Grandpa's lathe to turn the wheels slowly while grinding and then sanding with a random orbital?



    That's a Mini rear hub on the metal working chuck.





    Ahh... Much better.

    Hey Don, you're not all just good looks. That's a nice simple way of getting the job done....provided you have an old lathe.

      Sweet! I've done the same thing on a tire balencer before, but that looks it works even better
