    What part of the vin number and engine number are shared in "numbers matching" cars?

    There aren't any shared numbers, Don. If the chassis (VIN) and engine numbers on your car today match the corresponding numbers on your Heritage Certificate (or build sheet or whatever they call it for non-British cars), yours is a "numbers matching" car.

        how does one go about getting all the heritage information for the VIN?

          All you have to do is choose one of the following certificates on this site. Fill out the info they ask for, or as much as you able to fill out and pay up.

            Don ...I'm sure that one of my 850 with no tag is the "ONE" for you car. Just let me know when you want to come get it.
