Jerry, have you considered replacing the wimpy springs in your wiper arms with stronger ones? Tacoma Screw Products has a wide selection of springs to choose from. Maybe one of 'em will toughen up a Mini windscreen wiper.
The springs in my pickup's handbrake assembly came from the TSP store down in the tideflats. And they probably cost a fraction of the price the Mini suppliers are asking for similar products.

the heavy duty ones from minispares are excellent wipers...but are out of stock and have been for a long time now... maybe they will be in stock soon, as they are specially made for minispares. the parts supplier screwed up their last shipment i hear.
anyways, i've had the regular minispares wipers and had good luck with them, and ordered a set of them about a month ago... work quite well.
and yes i agree, there is too much crap wipers out on the market. very dissapointing!

Kinda spooky that they tell you to make sure your wiper motor and wheelboxes are in good shape. I hope the new arms don't collapse your windscreen.

well, the HD arms and HD blades have to be used TOGETHER... so, you must get the arms as well.
they are thicker in dimensions. the HD blades won't fit standard arms.
i've run these on several minis and they work excellent.
but the standard 10inchers blades and normal arms they sell also work great. i run these standard ones on my charcoal mini and had no problems in the crazy downpour we have been having.
