Question about a Mini.

A friend of mine is considering the purchase of this Mini: http://www.minimania.com/web/id/8729...ale_Detail.cfm. Since it is located in Victoria, BC, there's a good chance that some of you have seen this car are various events. Does anyone know anything about it?

Hi Ken,
I hope all is well. I don't know the car or it's owner, but consider asking Mike Smith, a well known Vtec Mini maker and Moke fan, is a member of this board. Send him an email through our internal system, or, look up his web page in his "members list" section. He might know since he is involved in the local Victoria Mini club.
You may already know Mike from the Vtec discussions about mods for the front end fasteners, IIRC.

I don't know the specific car but it looks like a Japanese spec car from the late 1990s. The purchaser could have considerable trouble driving the car across the border. A car this new is not eligible for importation into the U.S. and U.S. Customs at the Canadian border are quite knowledgeable about Minis.
