So I'm knee deep into repairing a morris minor in the shop and it's only a few weeks till ABFM....what could go wrong? Sat. morning heading out in Ted and second gear decides it's had enough. All other gears seem to be working for now but 2nd bangs, clatters, and sends the car into an epileptic seizure. Lucky for me, I was only about 5 miles from home and was able to limp him home using 1st and 3rd. The Morris is going back to its owner next Sunday but after that it will non stop engine swap. I will be building up one of my 1100cc and giving Ted a heart transplant all in time for the drive to Portland.... All part of the mini adventure of life.

Hey James,

Didn't know you like working on Morris Minors. I've got a 1951 sidevalve 4 door if you would like to work on it! Just kidding, I wouldn't do that to you I'm in the process of trying to find body parts for it and someday restore it. It's actually pretty rare according to the UK club.

There is a guy who works at the Bali's Gym next to my office in Tacoma who has been driving a really nice Morris Minor to work this week. Asked him if he was taking it to the AFBM in Portland, "Nah I don't mess with those". Nice Minor white with black sort of looks like vinyl top.
