Kathy Staff was a wonderful english actress who played Nora Batty from 1973 til her death in 2008 on the longerst running sitcom in the world, " The Last of The Summerwine". A story of three old school chums who find themselves single again [ in later life ] and wonder around the Yorkshire countyside having great adventures. Once with a Mini. Google the show title it will tell you more.

I had no personal relationship with Nora, yet I wish I had meet her.

One of the original actors is now in his 80's. Peter Sallis is also known for his voice as Wallace in the "Wallace & Gromit " cracking good claymation films.
