  • Mini on "Bring a Trailer"

This has been on Bring a Trailer for quite awhile now but it's still pretty interesting:

It is an interesting car. But reading the comments was just painful! I thought about replying when I read the first incorrect post, but after a dozen or so I decided it wasn't worth the effort!

As an aside, I've just heard of another Mk II white over blue Cooper S in the area. That makes four!
The more I know about Minis, the more I know I don't know about Minis.

I didn't finish the comments. It was obvious that the owner was more than likely new to the Mini World. The comments were really harsh, I mean give the guy a break.

Harsh and so many of them were wrong!

Since "Bring a trailer" isn't a Mini site most of the comments are from guys who sort of think they know a little bit about Minis. The comments get more accurate toward the end as word of the sale was spread. Looks like good marketing to me.

Don't worry too much about the owner. The car is being sold by the company that did the "restoration". The buyer was a '0' feedback bidder who spent over $20,000 on his first successful bid. I wonder if it will be for sale again soon?

          Cheers,
