I think this is a 50. It's the one that has a handle on the back that acts as reverse gear. If you want to go in reverse, you get out, pick it up by the handle, spin it around, get back in and go.


The Peel Trident is way sexier -- and you can get it with TWO headlights.

Once on Top Gear (or Fifth Gear or whatever), the host drove a Peel into his office building, up the elevator and down the hall to his office.

Photos were shot at the Lane Motor Museum in Nashville, Chad (www.lanemotormuseum.org). It's a really eclectic collection specializing in small oddballs, motorcycles and offbeat military stuff. I think LMM has more Tatras than the Czech Republic. When my daughter was going to school in Nashville, I'd drop by there every chance I got.

I just checked, and there's a Twini on their home page. I may have to schedule another trip.

It's a Toyota 800. In the 60s, Toyota dealers here got a load of them, tested them and concluded Americans would never buy 'em.
