Club Officers for 2009

Nominations for the four officer positions of SAMOA will be open at the November, December and January meetings. Elections will be held in January. If you have an interest in serving or think you know someone who could do a better job than the slackers you've been putting up with for the past several years, make your choice known at one of the meetings. No reason why we can't follow the national trend and throw the bums out!

If you can not make one of those meetings, make you choices known to club secretary Dan Berglund via email or by letter. Contact information can be found in the club newsletter.

Here's some food for thought.

The current VEEP, Kelley, served as President from 1995 though 2002, eight years. Yours truly has been Pres since 2003, six years. Add in the two times I was Pres in the 1970s and two people have been the guiding light for SAMOA for almost 40% of the club's official life.

Nominations for club officers will be one of the very few items at the December meeting.

Jerry's happy with the current administration. At least until they try to bail out ANY irresponsible business.

Looking at the big picture, the current president hasn't taken us into an unneccesary feud with the PS Mini club. The VP hasn't shot his friend in the head while hunting. Under the current treasurer's watch our bank account has not lost value unlike some other investments. The editor gets my newsletter right to my computer every month, I don't even have to walk out to my mailbox to pick up some old, tattered, black and white copy. With that said, I think these guys are doing an excellent job and deserve a 20% raise in pay!
