An expensive, but very worthwhile upgrade to a Mini. Should be done along with suspension repairs and well BEFORE the fancy wheels and tires and exhuast systems!
The more I know about Minis, the more I know I don't know about Minis.
This has to be the best upgrade I could have done to the mini! It has turned my mini into my daily driver, and with the new ball joints and the alignment this is fun.

The owner of the "red" Mini is following this thread. I would like to switch to front disks but I don't want the front wheels sticking out further because I really do not want to put Spats on the car. That is unless I can get my hands on a set of the spats from the Australian cars.
I think the spacing is the same????? "Berry" my S-tate wagon has S brakes with no flares and looke fine as long as I don't put 6x10 wheels on it. I agree, it is the best upgrade there is for a mini.

Steve's issue with the [insert color here] NZ car is that he is running 5" Comics on drum brakes and his Cosmics are drum brake offset.
Going from drums or Cooper brakes (real Coopers, not the Rover type) to S brakes will push the wheels out about an inch on both sides. Staying with the drum brake offset wheels would push Steve's wheels quite a bit outside of the wheel wells.
The more I know about Minis, the more I know I don't know about Minis.

Steve and I have had the conversation!
When it comes down to it, though, he has a nice running car, and if not the best maintained Mini in the club, it's certainly one of the best.
The more I know about Minis, the more I know I don't know about Minis.
