    There's a much better Beach Mini story that a lot of us followed for a year or so: the finding and restoration of the only Elf/Hornet Beach Mini. It is one that often shows up in the Mini history books with Issigonis behind the wheel. The story was covered in both Mk1's Forum and on the Specialist Mini (Early) Forum.

    Incredible. I wonder if all our cars just increased in value a little bit.

    I've been following that one. It's one of those that I have on my Beach Mini list. At that price I would have expected a bit more care in replacing a few parts that were not the same as when the car was built.
