  • SAMOA Big Panel

Back in the early '70s, Bert Lobberegt made a large, 3-panel backdrop-type item for SAMOA. I think it made its first debut at the Clark Marshal car show circa 1971 - '72. The old-timers will remember it well.

It has disappeared and I can find no information about where it went.

    Anyone with an idea?

I'll contact Al Beebe and Rodger Soucy. One of them might remember.

I have more information back already, from Bert, the panel's father.
It was big. Four, 4' x 8' panels hinged together so it could fold down to one 4 x 8 stack. Still not going to fit into a Mini, though!

Texas. It is in Texas. We don't have confirmation on its condition, yet, but it is hoped we can get some photos.

Let's see a show of hands for those who would be willing to go to Texas to bring it back, and let's see another show of hands for those that would like to store it!

I assume it's parked next to the club's hydrolastic pump...

If not, at least it is in close proximity.
