The usual hotels for the event are full, bad news for us from the northern climes, but maybe an indication of more race car participation. Let's get a good gathering of SAMOA minis at Krispy Kreme at the Tacoma Mall, 0800 departure on Friday, the 29th. Usual route to Portland except I'm stopping at Castle Rock for Papa Pete's pizza for lunch. Anyone wanna go?

I'm going but if I want to get paid for the holiday I have to work a 1/2 day on friday. So I will be leaving from Puyallup at one if anyone wants a later start. Basicly the same roads as you guys.

Hey Jerry, just curious, are we going via the Westside Hwy or the Jackson Hwy?

Ed, you'll get a chance to drive Sauer Road.

This is the Jackson Highway route.

Is hooning on your own namesake road actually legal? ;-)

Not sure - I'll let you know.

It's this Friday! Really at 8am? I'll be leaving Brier around 6:30. See everyone at the Krispy Kreme.

I was wondering can we not leave later like 9 or 10 am,
otherwise we are really early in Portland, what you think?

I am not planning to drive straight through via I-5, but will pickup the freeway at Longview-not gonna take Hiway 30 in Oregon and drive through Portland at rush hour on a Friday afternoon. Departure time depends on how many cars are going, I'd be OK with 0900, but keep in mind that a large convoy means longer stops for lunch and gas/rest stops along the way. How many cars are planning to go?
