  • 1966 Morris Cooper S paint update December 2011

I've been a little slow posting updates. Been extremely busy with work and Gunnar has been busy finishing the paint.

We wheeled the Mini outside for some pictures today. I'm very happy with the results.

I'll start the pictures with a self portrait of me - or at least my reflection in the driver's side of the car.

    Gunnar's turn...

You can see both of us if you look closely.

And a look back when restoration seemed hopeless.

As I look back, I had more hair when we started this project. Wonder if that will grow back when the car is finished.

The ultimate Christmas gift! What a thing of beauty and a reminder of Gunnar's genius. Congratulations Mark!

Wow, that is simply an amazing transformation.... Gunnar's done work for me before and he is the definition of 'artist'..

Ohhh, the depth of that paint! Way to Go Gunnar! ( and Mark )

I too will look forward to seeing it assembled and reflecting everything in site on a sunny day!

I agree; You are going to have to keep it safe so that it isn't marred in storage or assembly.

That is a gem-quality Mini. It's beautiful, Mark.

It has been a while since I've posted. Figured it was about time for an update.

I might be in the running for slowest Cooper S restoration. Engine was rebuilt by Chuck. Gunnar is doing the engine paint and assembly of the car.
