Classic Motorsports, May 2011 has a great article on an Austin Cooper S restoration. SAMOA's own Chuck Heleker or should I say one of Mini Mania's expert consultants Chuck Heleker is mentioned.
Beautiful black on white '66 Austin Cooper S. Someone's garage find. A persistance pays story.
Can't believe no one else has spotted this yet. Article is worth the price of the magazine.

Skip, I had a subscription up until a few months ago, but dropped it before the article on John Place's car came out. I was able to get a back issue.
John spent a lot of time looking for the correct parts for the car and it turned out nice considering he kept it to the semi-race theme based on the car's history. I think it would have been even better if he'd gone either way (original street, or as it was raced).
He had an interest in my cop car for a while. He should have bought it!
