Snow wasn't our biggest concern. By the time I got home, most of it had melted and then froze. Those of you who have been here at the center of the known universe know the road,,,its steep!! We parked on the street in the neighborhood above and hiked in. The wind started whipping up at about 4:15 and I knew it was just a matter of time untik the power went out...and it did. Despite a big fire, it dropped to 38 degrees this morning...brrr.My Mini is plastic.

OK......Pictures.
So this is just my wee car in the back yard, but it's a snow/Mini picture for ya Jamie! "Oliver" is doing pretty good with the snow tires/wheels, and they look sinister.SANY0276.JPGIt's all part of life's rich tapestry.

no garage for me just carport.
after 17 degrees on Vashon, started the white inno, hardly turned over,
very, very slow., thent started drove around some icey road, made some
"nice turns" huh. huh.
question after turning the car off, i started it right away and it start
really good good turn etc.
Why it was so slow starting in the first place.
a. battery low and or ground strap bad"
b. oel thick and cold engine cold..
If the batterty is in bad shape it short start - no matter under what condition very very slow..
The whole island was out of juice for 20 hours. now most of them are back\
to normal, looking forward to more snow.

Was lucky enough to get all 6 minis in the garage the night before the snow hit. Big hills around my place...took just over 2 hrs Monday night to get home (13 miles) in the Saturn. We had 10 inches out here till this morning. My mini wasn't going anywhere"remember, in this country, they drive on the wrong side of the road"

Brilliant!!
Too bad all this rain this weekend (10th-11th) wasn't snow! I've heard one inch of rain would equal one foot of snow, and I'm thinking we've had at least 2 inches of rain in the last 48 hours. It's all part of life's rich tapestry.

Better find a carwash after it warms up. WSDOT and everyone else has been salting the wee out of the roads. I was down at Lakewood Maintenance yesterday afternoon they were loading the trucks up with salt and sand then. Our Minis rust enough as is, no need to help it along!!Skip
